What is Activity RocketTM? Activity Rocket is a one-of-a-kind website where you can quickly find the best enrichment activities and camps for your child at the right price, time, and location; schedule those activities and camps; and share them with friends. In addition, you can organize your life with planning tools and email reminders. Also, you can rate and review activity/camp providers and see what other parents have said about children's activity providers in Montgomery County, Maryland. The Rocket currently includes enrichment activities and classes for children ages 0-12 (preschool through elementary school).
Do I have to pay to use Activity Rocket? The Rocket is 100% FREE for parents. Activity providers are also able to list their activities for FREE!
What can Activity Rocket do for me? With The Rocket, you can search the galaxy of children's enrichment activities and camps by browsing our alphabetical listings of activities (drama, equestrian, piano, skiing); providers (Adventure Theatre, All-Star Kids Tumblebus); and location (Bethesda, Boyds). Or enter your own search criteria to find exactly what you are looking for by category, type of activity, age, zip code, tuition, day of week, time of day etc. You can also find classes exclusively for children with special needs, as well as those that will make accomodations for special needs children. The more criteria you choose, the fewer the search results that will be displayed. A broader search with fewer parameters will produce more activities. For example,
Example 1: Find a drama class for your 5 year old son, on a Monday morning, for under $100 or
Example 2: Find all classes available for a 5 year old.
You can also use our organizational tools and rating system to help you decide which activity/camp is best for you and your child. Further, you can share activities/camps with your child's friends. And with one click you can register for that activity/camp on the provider's website. You will be able to take advantage of discounts and special offerings providers make available to Activity Rocket users. And you can educate yourself by reading Rocket Blog where activity, child and other experts provide valuable information to our users.
Do I need to register and create a Rocket Profile? While creating a Rocket Profile is not required, by doing so you will be able to fully take advantage of all The Rocket has to offer: including calendaring, sharing, ratings, and email reminders. Taking the time to create a comprehensive Rocket Profile will simplify your life and enhance your use of the site.
Is my personal information safe? Activity Rocket is committed to keeping your personal information private and secure. We do not share or sell any personally identifiable information with third parties. Only the people you choose to share your schedule and activities with can see the information you choose to provide to them via email. Who uses Activity Rocket? Activity rocket was built by parents for parents. Parents, grandparents, caregivers, PTA members, and educators alike use Activity Rocket to simply the activity and camp planning process!
How often are activity providers' schedules updated? Activity Rocket works closely with activity providers to ensure up-to-date, accurate schedule information. Schedules are updated as providers make seasonal and other changes to their schedules. We strive to eliminate any errors or misinformation; however, if you see a mistake, please report it to info@activityrocket.com.
Why are some tuitions listed by class and others by session? Activity Rocket works with many different types of providers - some charge by the class, while others charge a fee for a session of classes. Moreover, some providers have a member, resident, sibling, and/or repeat customer discount, while others charge one fee for everyone. Trust us - we wish this information was consistent across the board. Check the notes for additional information regarding tuition and call the provider or visit their website if you need additional information.
Who do I contact if an activity provider is missing? Providers and classes are added daily! We strive to include ALL Montgomery County, MD; Washington, DC and Fairfax County, VA children's activity providers. If a provider is missing, please Recommend a Provider or email provider@activityrocket.com.
What types of classes will I find under the Special Needs search? Providers that offer classes/camps exclusively for children with special needs are listed under the category and activity: special needs. Typically, the class details page and description will describe the target audience for activity and any prerequisites. In addition, you can browse "Special Needs" for a list of providers that will make accommodations for children with special needs. To find out what accommodations can be made, contact each provider.
What is the best way to search for Toddler classes? Toddler classes.camps can be found by searching either by activity and age - soccer for a 2 year old - or in our out of this world Toddler section where you can find Toddler "Play & Gym" classes, as well as Toddler "Imagination & Movement" classes.
Can I find things to do, special events, or ideas for day trips on Activity Rocket? The Rocket is a tool to search, compare, plan, and share enrichment activities. Check out Sites We Like to find local things to do, special events, etc…
