Established in 1996, Ballet Petite and Youth Performing Arts School is the leading provider of creative movement, primary and beginning ballet classes to children ages 18 months through young adult. Founded by Nancy Parenti in April of 1996, in association with the Washington Parent Newspaper, the first classes were held in a rented church space with an enrollment of twenty students. Today, Ballet Petite has four locations: Bethesda, Potomac, McLean, and Gaithersburg.

Children love Ballet Petite, as evidenced by over 300 class offerings. Ballet Petite's image of caring, attentiveness, enthusiasm, quality, safety, arts education, and a magical place for young children is now known and recognized in the DC Metro area. Enrollment is ongoing and pro-rated during the school sessions- Fall, Winter, and Spring. Fees vary according to session and start date. Enrollment based on availability.
