Levine School of Music, the Washington DC region's preeminent center for music education, is a welcoming community where children and adults find lifelong inspiration and joy through learning, performing, listening to, and participating with others in music.

Levine's core values, excellence and opportunity, infuse everything we do. Our distinguished faculty offers a broad and well-rounded curriculum in more than 20 instruments and voice as well as Music Therapy that provides a strong musical foundation for students of different ages, abilities, and interests. We strive to make Levine education available to everyone. Hundreds of our students receive substantial scholarship assistance; many hundreds more receive free instruction through outreach programs.

The Early Childhood Music Department delivers a learning experience of unmatched quality and lifelong value. Our curriculum emphasizes learning through play with the conviction that enjoyment facilitates learning. We engage children in meaningful music experiences on a personal level, making musical principles accessible, internal and memorable. In addition to classes at the Strathmore Campus in Maryland, we offer classes in three other campuses (Northwest DC, Southeast, DC and Arlington, VA). For more information on the Early Childhood program contact Gabriela Cohen at gcohen@levineschool.org or (202) 686-8000 x. 1107.

In addition, Levine Music & Arts Day Camp nurtures the total musical child in a supportive and stimulating environment. Through singing, dancing, playing instruments and sharing artistic experiences, children develop skills for creative expression and aesthetic awareness that will last their entire lives. Campers gain invaluable experience as they are introduced to instruments in small groups, learn complex musical structures using the Orff instrument range and sing in harmony in large and small groups. Rising 3rd graders and above receive daily instruction on an instrument of their choice and play at the end of session performance. Each session ends in a concert featuring campers' musical and dance performances and art. (We have TWO locations in MoCo: at the Music Center at Strathmore (5301 Tuckerman Lane, North Bethsda and at St. Bartholomew School: 6900 River Rd, Bethesda.) For more information on Levine Music & Arts Day Camp contact Sally Mennel at smennel@levineschool.org or at (202) 686-8000 x. 1040.
